In theory, the stainless is more durable, providing a more "buy it for life" experience. While the difference for the average guy is likely negligible (are you really banging your safety razor around?), a butter fingers or someone roughing it out and about may prefer this more durable option.
The 6S is also made in Canada, if you find that meaningful.
